Community Safety Minister Ash Denham: Retail workers should not tolerate abuse or violence

by Chris

In special video message for the Don’t Put Up With It campaign as the Protection of Workers Act comes into law, Community Safety Minister Ash Denham has highlighted the important role that retailers play in their communities and how retail workers should not have to tolerate threats, abuse or violence as part of their job.

The Scottish Grocers’ Federation – as the organisation leading the Don’t Put Up With It campaign – is grateful for the Scottish Government’s support in bringing this significant new law into power, which sees the country lead the way in the legal safeguards it provides for retail workers.
